A Kharif Mela/Kisan Goshthi was organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Banaras Hindu University-South Campus, on 29th of June, 2015, at Adarsh Gram-Dadri under the leadership of Hon'ble Member of Parliament Ms. Anupriya Patel.
The scientists from BHU emphasized upon the importance of soil testing, improved seeds and asked the farmers to cultivate cash crops especially the medicinal ones such as Ashwa Gandha, Aloe Vera etc. Around 100 farmers were also provided with quality seeds of arhar, moong and urad.
Hon'ble Member of Parliament underscored the importance of agriculture for the development of village and assured the villagers of adequate provisions of mini soil test kits from MPLAD funds.
